Volunteering with Huts 4 Our Friends is a simple and effective way to help make Pensacola a better place for all the people who reside here. Right now the primary way that you can help is by joining us for our Saturday hut building events held every week at the Brent Athletic Complex Baseball Field. As a volunteer you will be helping to build these important huts for our community.
Never built anything before?
No need to worry! These huts are simple and there will be plenty of experienced volunteers there to help you out.
Are you an expert builder?
Great! We are always looking for experienced hands to help. If you happen to own tools such as hammers, drills, levels, and other building necessities we would love if you could bring them for your own use. We recognize that not everyone has their own set of tools so we provide them when necessary.
As a volunteer for Huts 4 Our Friends you will be joining a community of passionate people who are working to heal and rehabilitate our neighbors that are currently without homes. We do not have a minimum time commitment but we encourage you to come out for the hut construction events and stay for at least five hours. Volunteering with Huts 4 Our Friends is necessary now more than ever. This movement will only grow through the support of volunteers, spending their time in a meaningful way to build a safe and healing environment for the homeless members of our community. At Huts 4 Our Friends we simply believe that if you see somebody in need of help, why not help them? Become a volunteer today and lend your helping hand to somebody who needs it most.

CHANGE A LIFE TODAY
“I want to create an atmosphere where people can really get down to the issues, get cleaned up and become productive members of society. Just having that little place of independence and being able to be there and know that it’s yours, that can really help them get the first step of the way.”.
